NXT Biofit Cushion

The NXT Biofit Wheelchair Cushion has been designed for comfort, pressure redistribution and easy maintenance. The pre-ischial support prevents sliding and provides pelvic support.

The moderate abductor/adductor contour ensures mid-line positioning of the femurs. The radius at the rear provides sacral support in addition to matching the contour of modular back supports.

The bevel on the front edge accommodates foot propellers, users who wish to sit with a tight front frame angle or those with tight hamstrings.

The NXT Biofit comes standard with an outer and inner cover. The outer cover is an air mesh cover provides comfort and keeps temperatures low. The inner cover is fluid proof yet breathable. It is made of multi-directional stretch fabric allowing proper immersion.

The NXT BioFit Wheelchair Cushion is a multi-layer design using smartGEL™ technology, provides deep immersion, support and skin protection for users at medium to high risk of skin break down.

With a total of 67 BioFit cushion sizes, (special cuts available) this cushion provides more seating options on many more wheelchair sizes. Widths vary from 10″ to 26″ and depths from 10″ to 22″.

MORE PROTECTION WITH WATERPROOF ZIPPERS

The NXT Cushions feature two waterproof zippers: one on the smartx3D cover and one on the interior cover. The external zipper is covered with two lips. This double protection increases moisture barrier protection and virtually eliminates the possibility of debris getting in the zipper and causing it to malfunction.

A TWO-WAY ZIPPER FOR A DAZZLING FINISHED LOOK

NXT’s new two-way zipper allows external lateral supports to easily attach to the back support’s shell. It closes snugly around the lateral support, providing a dazzling finished look.

NO SAGGING WITH THE BALLISTIC WEAVE FABRIC

The addition of ballistic weave fabric, a highly durable material, on the NXT Biofit cushion this prevents sagging. It helps maintain the covers’ overall structure and consistent fit over time, standing up to daily transfers and other rigors of everyday usage.

NXT SIT

(Selective Immersion Technology) perforations are anatomically positioned to support the ischial/sacral area to prevent sliding and shear while maintaining pelvic positioning. The perforations are moulded at different depths and are conical in shape. This provides immersion and lower pressure to the bony prominences while supporting surrounding areas that can be at higher load.
