In March we visited…. Wheelfreedom
During March, Susurro was proud to support Wheelfreedom on a project to supply a fully customised Wolturnus Tukan wheelchair.
Established in 2008, Wheelfreedom provides quality mobility equipment to individuals with disabilities in London, Surrey and the South East of England. Its main showroom in Chessington provides an extensive range of ‘off the shelf’ products and custom-made wheelchairs. Several of these are supplied by us, so Wheelfreedom customers can be assured of quality and reliability.
One particular customer required a complex wheelchair configuration so we were delighted to help. Wheelfreedom’s Assessor Jess Goodall worked closely with Dan, Susurro’s Business Development Manager, to customise an ultra-lightweight wheelchair with a bespoke castor position. The frame was also adapted to seamlessly integrate a Benoit Light Drive power assist unit. By working together, the client, Taylor, had a better outcome in terms of life changing mobility.
In April we visited…Bromakin
With its showroom in Loughborough, Bromakin are suppliers of manual and electric wheelchairs with a speciality in designs for racing. As a family run business, it prides itself on providing bespoke solutions for active wheelchair users through a vast range of products and superior servicing knowledge. To keep this expertise up to date, Dan visited the team at Bromakin in April and was able to provide one of their customers with a free trial of Susurro’s new and award-winning Dreeft wheels.
Steve, the client, was thoroughly impressed by the Dreeft design – which significantly reduces the braking force exerted through a wheelchair user’s hands. So much so, he has placed an order. This was a fantastic result for everyone involved and once again highlighted how retailers choosing Susurro, as their trade supplier, benefits the end user in terms of maximised independence.
In May we visited… Independence Mobility
Independence Mobility was delighted to welcome us to its headquarters for product training.
Independence Mobility has been a valued trade customer of ours since 2022. It is a respected consumer specialist in the north of England with three spacious showrooms displaying a vast array of mobility equipment including Stricker handbikes, Dreeft wheels and NXT seating – all supplied by us. As part of our commitment to supporting retailers, Dan Sutton, our Business Development Manager, visited the team to provide training on these products and refresher guidance with other popular lines.
The Stricker brand is one of the latest offerings from Susurro. The range provides powered front bikes for wheelchairs and hybrid handcycles which take choice and performance to the next level through advanced German innovations.
Dan thoroughly enjoyed catching up with his industry colleagues at Independence Mobility which included Anthony Mitchell, Andrew Drummond and Paul Price.
